About Us
Tammy Patel MN, NP, CON(C)
Tammy Patel is a Nurse Practitioner who blends deep clinical expertise with a passion for educating and empowering patients to take charge of their health. After graduating with her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Calgary in 2004, Tammy spent nearly two decades in complex and acute care settings, including extensive work in oncology, symptom management, and patient education. Her early experiences shaped her holistic, patient-centered approach to care—one that recognizes the importance of treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
Tammy holds a Master of Nursing and a Post-Master Nurse Practitioner designation, with her graduate research exploring how urgent cancer clinics can improve outcomes for patients with acute symptoms. Her findings not only led to national conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications but also helped shape real-world clinical innovation. As a member of the Acute Assessment Unit Working Group at the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, she contributed her thesis findings and practicum experience to the development and launch of a new urgent care model for oncology patients in 2025.
Tammy’s leadership extends beyond clinical care. She has served on governance committees, led provincial nursing interest groups, and contributed to curriculum development in graduate nursing education. She is also a dedicated mentor and educator, having guided students through academic, clinical, and professional development at both the University of Calgary and University of Alberta. Tammy believes in fostering courageous leadership and collaborative, values-driven care.
Now at GLO Antiaging, Tammy brings her extensive background into a new chapter—focusing on functional wellness, hormonal health, gut health and sustainable weight management. She works closely with each patient to uncover root causes, develop personalized plans, and offer compassionate, evidence-informed support throughout their journey. Known for her integrity, empathy, and drive for excellence, Tammy is deeply committed to helping patients feel informed, empowered, and at their best—inside and out.

what is functional medicine?
At GLO we take a Functional Medicine approach to all our patients concerns. Functional Medicine is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. The Functional Medicine Approach looks at lifestyle, genetics, and environment and how these areas impact health. We do not just focus on symptoms or suppressing symptoms. We look at the person as a whole and how all our systems: physical, emotional, and spiritual are interrelated and impact our health and vitality. We focus on your bio-individuality.
