The Vitality Weight Management Program
A Uniquely You Approach to Your Optimal Weight
Tired of the endless cycle of diets and rigorous exercise regimes that do not provide stable long lasting results? At GLO, we understand that traditional methods of weight management often overlook the unique needs of individuals. Our approach goes beyond the standard advice of diet and exercise. We delve into the underlying factors of weight change, such as hormone balance and other root causes, recognizing that what works for one may not work for another.
Our program is designed to seamlessly integrate with your existing fitness routine, enhancing the efforts you're already making.
We focus on understanding your distinctive physiology and metabolic requirements. Our program is not about one-size-fits-all solutions, excessive calorie counting, or over-exercising. While we don’t offer a miraculous quick fix, we emphasize the importance of maintaining healthy dietary habits, regular physical activity, and incorporating weight training into your routine. It's about finding a sustainable path to achieving your weight goals, tailored just for you.
Your Custom Weight Management Treatment Plan
At our clinic, we adopt a holistic approach to weight management, focusing on the various factors influencing your weight. Our comprehensive evaluation includes assessing hormonal balances such as insulin and leptin resistance, cortisol levels, testosterone, estrogen, and thyroid function. We believe it's crucial to understand your relationship with food, your self-perception, sleep patterns, stress perception, and coping mechanisms, as these can significantly affect your weight.
Recognizing that weight influences your energy levels, comfort in clothing, self-confidence, and motivation, we aim to identify and address the root causes affecting your weight. This personalized approach enables us to craft a treatment plan that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
Our program is medically supervised, providing the option for prescription weight loss medications, subject to health insurance coverage (the cost of prescriptions and or supplements are not included in the program) and personal choice. We provide guidance in this decision-making process, weighing the risks and benefits. It's important to understand that medications are most effective when complemented by a comprehensive weight management program, helping avoid the pitfalls of yo-yo dieting.

Our in-person program in Calgary features three metabolism-enhancing injections and two InBody assessments. The InBody is a sophisticated scale that uses body mass impedance technology. These assessments provide crucial data for monitoring changes in muscle mass, both visceral and subcutaneous fat, as well as basal metabolic rate. We emphasize that traditional measures like scale weight and BMI are not the best indicators of health. Instead, our focus is on tracking and understanding the evolution of your body composition over time.
The program is also available to patients throughout Alberta and British Columbia virtually.
Note: Basic lab work is included in the program. Advanced tests such as DUTCH, gut health, food sensitivity, or metabolomics tests are available for an extra charge. We collaborate with reputable labs like Rocky Mountain Analytical Labs (affiliated with Genova labs), DUTCH labs, SIBO Canada, and Doctor’s Data. High-quality supplements from trusted brands like Metagenics, Bioclinic, Pure, and AOR may also be recommended.
